Helping nice guys achieve success in business through insight, strategies, thought leadership and peer communities.
It started as an idea that Russ and Tim kicked around over coffee... gradually finding form as “The Nice Guy Bill of Rights.” A discussion with the editors of Harvard Business Review then encouraged the creation of a case study called “The Nice Guy,” which appeared in the February 2006 issue of HBR. From there it finally grew into the Nice Guy Strategies website, fascilitating a conversation among nice guys and creating a place
where expert opinion can be found.
What's the Problem with Nice Guys?
Deferring a confrontation so as not to make someone feel bad; not wanting to “impose” on someone for whatever reason; not knowing when it's time to walk away. All of us suffer from these problems at one time or another; however, a nice guy suffers from them chronically. If you're a nice guy, you know of what we speak. If you have chronic nice guys in your company, it's impeding your company's success. It need not be this way.
Nice Guy Strategies: Why?Nice Guy Strategies, LLC (NGS) provides theory and tools to help people deal with dealing with a variety of issues that help people to grow. Our mission is to serve as an on-going source and exchange of information for all of the nice guys in the world who want to achieve higher plateaus of success in business.
